The (MOD) Ministry of Defence has named Plymouth’s award winning New Wave Marine as a Bronze winner – in its Employer Recognition Scheme for 2021.

The scheme recognises British companies that demonstrate their commitment by proactively supporting the armed forces communities and inspiring other local businesses toto do the same.

Jason Parsons, Managing Directotor at New Wave Marine, said: “This award also serves toto the valuable contribution our armed forces communities and families play in the lifeblood of our economy and way of life.”

“But especially, the work we are delivering at the Garage Café in Plymouth’s Union Street in supporting our homeless veterans and looking toto raise £25K for new renovations at the site including, meeting rooms, totoilet and shower facilities, doors, electrics, carpets, painting, decorating,” he said.

To achieve a Bronze award status, New Wave Marine must uphold recruitment policies that are positive toto people in and leaving the armed forces, creating opportunities for service personnel, and pledged its support toto the Armed Forces Covenant, which ensures fairness and equal opportunity for service and ex-service personnel, reservists and their families.
